Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LoomAPI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

LoomAPI provides age and risk verification as a service for high-risk platforms, including adult content, gambling, and high-risk SaaS applications.

Service Description

LoomAPI offers:

  • Token-based age and risk verification
  • Metered billing via Stripe (pay-per-verification)
  • Multi-tenant API access with rate limiting and quotas
  • JWT token generation and validation
  • Integration with third-party verification providers (e.g., Veriff)

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable laws
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or billing mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to verify users under false pretenses
  • Share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

Billing and Payment

LoomAPI uses Stripe for metered billing. You pay per completed verification at the rate specified in your plan.

  • Billing is processed monthly based on usage
  • Quota limits are enforced; exceeding quotas may result in service suspension
  • All fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information

Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, documentation, and content, is owned by LoomAPI and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • LoomAPI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • You are responsible for compliance with age verification and data protection laws in your jurisdiction

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason we deem necessary. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@loomapi.com.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Unforeseen technical issues
  • Third-party service outages
  • Force majeure events

We will provide reasonable notice of scheduled maintenance when possible.

Compliance and Legal Requirements

You are solely responsible for:

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
  • Obtaining necessary licenses and permits for your use case
  • Ensuring your use of the Service complies with age verification requirements
  • Data protection and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Content moderation and user safety on your platform

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoomAPI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through:

  • Good faith negotiation between the parties
  • If negotiation fails, binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules
  • Jurisdiction and venue as specified in applicable law

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and LoomAPI regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
